For centuries, cartographers debated whether it was an island,
a peninsula, or a forgotten continent.

Today, we host servers there.

Historical Map: Terra de Iesso (1670)
Joannes Janssonius Map showing "I. DE IESSO"

17th century cartographers marked a mysterious territory north of Japan

On 17th-century European maps, cartographers marked a mysterious territory north of Japan labeled "Terra de Iesso" or "I. de Iesso". Dutch explorers reported its existence in 1643, but its exact nature—island, peninsula, or continent—remained disputed for nearly 200 years.

By 1800, improved navigation revealed it was likely Hokkaido. But the legend persisted in maritime folklore: "the land that appears and disappears from maps."

Our infrastructure exists in the digital manifestation of this forgotten territory.

📡

Eastern Node

Location: Russian Far East
Region: Kamchatka Peninsula
IP: 10.0.0.2 (private)
Status: ● Online

Our eastern infrastructure operates from the western Pacific, positioned near the historical sightings of Terra Iesso.

🌉

Encrypted Bridge

Protocol: WireGuard VPN
Coordinates: 55°N 165°E
Nature: Distributed consensus
Status: ● Connected

An encrypted tunnel connects both nodes, creating a private network infrastructure spanning the transpacific region.

Western Node

Location: United States
Region: San Francisco Bay Area
IP: 10.0.0.1 (private)
Status: ● Online

Our western infrastructure anchors from the US Pacific coast, completing the transpacific bridge to Terra Iesso.

⚡ Bridge Infrastructure: Our infrastructure mirrors the historical ambiguity of Terra Iesso itself. The eastern node operates from the Russian Far East near Kamchatka, while the western node anchors from San Francisco Bay Area. Both nodes are connected via an encrypted WireGuard tunnel, creating a true transpacific digital bridge spanning the location where Terra Iesso historically appeared on maps.
